Just saw the Alabama Shakes performance on SNL and I don't know what happens for them but it reminded me that that after 40 years that is still one of the most important performances or stages for an emerging artist.
So in 2015 what are the most important performance venues for an artist? These are the most influential, career-making or defining (or destroying, I see you Ashlee Simpson) stages or venues out there.
Off-top mine are:
super Bowl half time performing at the Oscars closing Coachella main stage closing the Grammys first SNL performance
