Michael Jackson sealed the deal that night. however as high as Marvin was that night he was on point.

Stevie Wonder was underrated that night he kinda got forgotten.

i always say i watched the show to mainly see Rick James who never appeared. still it was a great night.

four tops and temptations, debarge and high energy.

sad that James Jamerson had to get a scalper ticket just to get inside.

that mess with the supremes.

mary wells was cool.

smokey robinson on point and the miracles.

As a huge Michael Jackson fan, I've seen the Billie Jean performance countless times. I've heard the stories about the next day everyone talking about it and trying to moonwalk. I've never seen it in context of the rest of the show.

Marvin was great, Stevie was great, which was to be expected. Even the J5 reunion was nice. But when Tito and co. left the stage and Mike came grammatically incorrect with "Especially, I like, the new songs."

That shit really was incredible.

I have a whole new respect for the performance after seeing how the energy changed when he did Billie Jean

these are the Motown legends in the audience.

so when MJ did that, when he brought down the house,
the people that were applauding were legends that had seen
the best do it.

THEY crowned MJ as the new standard bearer.
