Truffle Butter is a banger but let's not act like musically the song is doing anything that's too progressive - it's also an anomaly on the radio and a lot more songs are closer to Coco's cadence than Truffle Butter's

Semi-related I heard Loonies To Blow yesterday for the first time in forever and forgot how much of a banger it was..back when rappers over 130 bpm was novel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI6fIh5tXF0

I mean in 2010 most rap songs on the radio were 134 to 142 bpm...

in 2015 most songs are 86-101bpm..

That's a significant change

And what's wild now is that the radio songs are more 95-100 due to the Mustardization of the game...but most club-club hits are SUPER, super super slow. Like 50-55 BPM, plenty at 60-62. Not as many in the 70s. And Drake ass is gonna bring it down to 45-48 eventually.

Yea.. I dont stay in the 50-55 range... It's uncomfortable for white ppl to dance to..

Worst Behavior and Aint about the Money are the slowest I can go.. and even then I cant do that at like 12...

even Coco illicits less and less response as time goes on...

125bpm or 62/63 is the slowest songs should be..

But here we are, huh? Lil B or someone should make a whole tape at 40 bpm just to see how obnoxious it can get. I thought "All Gold Everything" was sort of a joke in how slow it was but it ended up setting the bar for the next two/three? years

40 bpm is 80 bpm and there are mad songs in that space...

like I said above.. radio is run by 86-101bpm currently.. in 2010 130-142 was the norm..

COCO is 120bpm and if it weren't for Rae Srummurd those songs might not have a place..

Worst Behavior is definitely a crazy tempo at 110bpm or 55bpm half time shit..

Not many people followed Trinidad James at the 50/100 bpm songs.. it's basically J cole/Miguel and the new T.I./Thugger song

based on the bars they use and all else. A 60 BPM blends with a 120, but it's still a completely different feel.

Worst behavior = 56 BPM....while Poison = 112

Coco = 60 while Blurred lines = 120

No hands = 65 while My Boo = 130

But it is a whoooole lot of songs in that 50 and early 60's range, especially in the South. I don't think you'd hear them or play them much at your spots, and even I don't when I have the Zanzibar type spots....but the trendy Black clubs are eating them alllll up.

OG Bobby Johnson, Run Ricky Run, Lil Bit, Right back, About the money, ALL these new super slow Drake songs like Know yourself, it's a lot of them.

Yea thats semantics.. lol

I might go from CoCo or Worst behavior to I Dont Mind or Poison or Feels Good or sexual seduction so I use them at the similar tempos..

and when I produce I am not making anything at 50 or 60bpms..

but yea.. I cant play OG Maco in the club.. that shit gets awkward
