I'm all for comfort but damn...D not only looking like he rolled out of bed for the performance but also like he's about to roll his ass right back in as soon as it's over.
It was excellent. Everyone who has already done so has recapped it better than I can but he was glowing and had a blast the entire time. Besides the two breaks for encores they didn't stop the entire time, transitioning from one song to the next. The alt version of Brown Sugar was excellent. And no way in hell did I think he was going to do Untitled, and then do it like THAT, ending it with a back-and-forth between him on the piano (and everyone else off stage) while prompting the crowd to sing...he had the audience in his palm the entire night.
Was expecting an hour or hour-and-a-half set of BM songs, covers, and maybe a few older songs based on his recent sets but he really pulled out all of the stops for this one. Really just a phenomenal show all around.

Lucky guy
How was the sound?
I guess it was alright since the Appollo theatre is not such a big room.
I went to see D live in the Zenith in Paris some time ago and the sound was way too loud so that the good experience was a little bit balanced by the bad sound (especially Pino's bass was really heavy...)
