I'd say it started off a little bumpy, with the inspirational/life coach stuff in the first 10 minutes falling kinda flat. But I dug everything about him getting into his personal history. I liked him talking about the new album, him getting into hip-hop history, and him embracing the idea of him being the voice of the times (even if I think Jack oversold it a bit). However, by about the 90 minute mark I was ready for it to be over, even though I sorta liked Combat's son asking him questions.

Shit, as they discussed on the show, Chuck D's was four hours and that shit flew by. I could listen to two more hours of it. Because it kept moving and it felt like Chuck always had something to say.
This was a good interview, but it's one that just felt like it went on too long. I don't know if it was Jack or Cole or whatever. Maybe it was the slow beginning. Maybe because it felt like he was repeating himself towards the end.
The interview was interesting enough that I wanted to hear what he had to say (a lot of that could be because I knew so little about Cole before this interview), but it still felt like it was starting to drag after 90 minutes. They didn't **quite** strike the right balance.
