Cannibal Ox announce first album in 14 years, featuring MF Doom and more
The long-awaited album looks like it finally see the light of day.
Cannibal Ox will finally release the follow-up to 2001′s legendary The Cold Vein. The 19-track album is titled Blade of the Ronin and is due out on March 3.
The album was mostly produced by Bill Cosmic, with MF Doom, U-God, Elzhi and the Artifacts to feature. The cover art and tracklist are below, via HipHopDX.
Vast Aire and Vordul Mega reunited back in 2012, launching a Kickstarter to help them finish the album and eventually holding fans over with 2013′s Gotham EP.

I'm actually looking forward to this for the SOLE reason that took them 14 years to make.
I read somewhere that the reason Vast was so dope on the Cold Vein (And then subsequently fell off) was because it was a collection of Rhymes he'd been writing up to that point

I'm one of the few that has this on the list to listen and just can't bring myself to it. I know all the hype behind it. It's classic status, etc. It's as though it's the one thing I can still look forward to, so I chose not to listen.
It's like "Disposable Arts" for me. I didn't listen to it forever, then a few years ago I finally copped and listened. I'm still annoyed that I wasted so much time -not- listening to it.

I don't think Grand Royal signed any of those artists in that 12" series. The hip hop or the electronic music ones.
Dude is out there very much grinding. He tours around the world with Thievery Corporation, so he's gotten known to a decent sized audience. And he works with a lot of other electronic music artists. And he's always working on his hip-hop shit.
