Only like 2-3 of them, but back then, we were in L.A. and there was no internet...so they had to buy CD's like this for freestyles and those random rare cuts. We even bought some from the DJ's here that had more West Coast rappers on them.
We ALL hated that the songs on these albums were always cut so damn short though.

around the time Vol. II was released Angie Martinez interviewed him on Hot 97 and he said there were copies of the album that he slipped $100 bills into.
I'd imagine if this was in fact true that it would have been limited to local (NYC) stores like Nobody Beats The Wiz.
Anyway, I doubt that had an effect on national sales.
That Yvette Michele song with the same beat as Lil' Kim's "Big Momma Thing" was also a single from the album.
