Call me a pickle but it seems that when we reach adolescence, we indoctrinate our taste in music with our social influence.

Am I wrong?

there's a reason i preferred MJ's "bad" to LL Cool J's "bad."
looking back, it couldn't have been for musical reasons.

i identified with MJ more than LL Cool J.
that influenced my taste.

battle lines were drawn.

it has always been exactly like this.
it hasn't changed at all.

ppl that market music know this.
and tbh, even though i scrutinize media more then any normal person should,
i still fall victim to it.

i am happy that dangelo has a number 1 album
instead of, well, chief keef, to chose a random example.
sure, i could say that i like dangelo better because his music is better.

but that wouldn't be the entire truth, now would it?

Yes because usually at adolescence we are overly concerned with fitting in, so when your friends clown you off listening to that "weird" music, if you aren't strong willed you end up just listening to what everyone else in your group listens to

People for the most part are sheep

you forget how to listen to music with your heart and start listening with your mind.

experiencing something first hand is completely consuming, the second time it is mental, by the 10,000th time you may have lost touch.
