She was inspired by the Blueprint and wanted to do something similar for the ladies. I don't see the issue. No one is comparing her album to Jay Z's in terms of rapper vs. rapper, or song vs. song.
By the way, there are many "Black Album's" out there as well. Are we going to compare Jay Z to Metallica because Jay Z called his album The Black Album?

I see this is as respect towards Jay Z and not as an insult, the fact that Blueprint is still inspiring people is an achievement. She was inspired/moved to create the same concept album for her lane. Still don't see the problem.

This is NOT the record I would want future female rappers to imitate.
The Blueprint was a risk with the sound and (parts) of the content. The Pinkprint sounds like everything today and does nothing to push things forward.
Blueprint felt like the end of a chapter, with Jay daring his peers to make something better. Pinkprint is an mix of stuntin,sadness and female empowerment. Which is way too much for 1 album IMO.
It sounds like I'm hating on Pinkprint, but I'm not. Out of the 21 tracks there's a solid album worth of music...but as a concept the album is weak.
Jay had some pressure going into Blueprint, with the Nas & Mobb Deep stuff starting up too, I wonder what a Nicki album would sound like if she had competition to light a fire with?

First off, this album contains one recycled track that was on her last album. Secondly, FUCK THIS COMPARISON entirely. This album is trash compared to The Blueprint. There's nothing on here with the cultural impact of Takeover. Nothing on her album touches Breathe Easy. XXL should be ashamed of themselves for promoting this bullshit and making such an asinine statement.
There are literally tons of female mcs they could promote and they choose this bullshit. Nicki made her sexuality the primary selling point of this album because she knew it was trash.
Hov doesn't belong in the same sentence as this young artist. Man fuck XXL as a magazine, website, staff, and a motherfucking crew. Clean house and bring back YN forreal fuck them.
