Around the 49:45 mark "I don't want to walk in Motown and see Michael Jackson sitting at a desk. The fuck are you talking about?!" He got that villainous laugh lmao!

Or if they're actively thinking "oh I gotta craft up these alternate stories of my existence to impress people"
Some people may have started that way, but I definitely think they can get so lost in the alternate reality that they actually start believing it as the true one

This is all before 1990. Do you associate experimentation with struggle raps or something? LL rhymes about ladies and enjoying life. Still joints like Phenomenon & Headsprung don't really sound like a lot of other rap songs.
If we are talking more recent material, "Accidental Racist" is experimental. He raps in Italian in the 3rd verse of "The Truth", and that song was for a Kay Slay compilation. Who does that? That wack "Ratchet" song he dropped a few years back is experimental. On the Chris Rock/Quest podcast on Rosenberg Radio they alluded to Cool J having a bunch of weird sessions in the stash that won't ever see the light of day. He has tons of strange sounding songs on his albums that I haven't even mentioned.

to act like the dude isn't doing some left field ish half the damn time. Most artists in his position don't take those type of risks. Let's face it, you and I would be perfectly happy with an album full of tracks like "No Airplay", "Ill Bomb" & "I Shot Ya (remix)", with maybe 1 "Luv You Better" & a 1 "Backseat" type joint thrown in as commercial singles. But that's probably too boring for him.

It's like two hours long and I remember I parked my car at a McDonalds, got a coffee and sat there engrossed through the whole thing (except when Coco showed up)
I mean I literally got chills listening to him describe the very, exact moment that gangsta rap was born.

Why didnt they ask him about the Ice T beef... Jack the Ripper came out of that... one of the hardest dis records ever made....
And that laugh.... yo .... that nigga sounded straight crazy...
The LL laugh > Jadakiss Laugh.
You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
