Why? It's the song I associate with her. (I'll try to find a better link.)

Sly & The Family Stone's "Loose Booty"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HIIErMKNnY
REASON: For years, when Sylvester Stallone was on her show, she used to introduce him as "Sly Stallone", as if she wanted to say Sly Stone but messed up. So if possible, do the "Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego" part of the song, but feel free to sing it in Sylvester Stallone's voice. Or if that might be too difficult (which is understandable), just emphasize on the "o" in the Abednego in reference to Oprah.

Christoph Waltz
Strauss' "The Voices Of Spring"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gG9YSaf4Mg
REASON: His name is Waltz and he is Austrian. I may not know my classical music deeply but being part Austrian and having an album by Eugene Ormandy (a Philly conductor, as you may know) in my home as a kid, I know this song very well. While winter will be approaching by the time the show airs, play a little suggestion of sorts, Ravi Shankar style. When I saw Shankar 13 years ago, it was very cold that night but he played the melody to Roger Quilter's "It Was A Lover And His Lass", where he talks about the lovers in the springtime. Here I am listening to great Indian music and he plays a bit of interpolating, as if he dropped a subtle sample because he could, as a way to say "it's very cold outside but be patient, for spring will be around the corner. So by playing "The Voices Of Spring", Waltz may react one way but perhaps he may also react because he'll know what you're suggesting.

Nicki Minaj
Queen Latifah's "Latifah's Had It Up To Here"
http://youtu.be/ZECnlwlbY7Q?t=1m51s
REASON: A bit of nice ego thrown her way as a way to say Nicki Minaj is the queen, thus the line "give it to 'em queen (yeah yeah)/give it to 'em queen (I got it)" is a way to address her in a way to suggest that out of the so-called female rappers who are gaining awards lately, she is far better. While I will never take away the majestic power of Latifah, if one was to shine the light her way, do it with this song.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_luQ1x21_E <-My favorite version by VG
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cP8ZfRZCy1c <- The O.G.

Why? A great great song - and his last name is Waltz. (Unless you have a pumpkin on this may one of the few opportunities you get to play it.)

Nicki Minaj
Prince- Darling Nikki

Why? her name - and you got time to clear it.

Note: She uses the sample in Blow Your Mind

If it's too late to clear Prince.
Pleasure - Bouncy Lady breaks

Why? Maybe not as bouncy as some but still.

Reasons:

Sir Paul McCarnety
#1: The Scaffold - Lily The Pink
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7pHDoJrrzA

(Backing vocalists on the recording included Graham Nash (of the Hollies), Elton John (then Reg Dwight), and Tim Rice; while Jack Bruce (of Cream) played the bass guitar.)

#2: The Scaffold - Liverpool Lou (with special guests Paul McCartney and Wings.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjnkmNyArNg

Why? His brother is in the band. (Mike McGear.) According to wikipedia the song hit #1 on the charts on Christmas Day in 1968. #2 is suggested if you want even a song they both performed on.

---
Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga
Let's Duet - Dewey and Darlene Madison Cox
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP5YFr4SkCQ

EDIT: Questions:
1)Did this show already tape?
2) Fuck North Korea!

Chuck Berry's "I'm Talking About You"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUnUANMQ6tg
REASON: This is the song Paul McCartney nicely borrowed to create the bassline in "I Saw Her Standing There".

Not sure if Bennett and Gaga will be interviewed but if so:
Queen's "Radio Gaga", but done in a Frank Sinatra-style arrangement, utilizing the horn section
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t63_HRwdAgk
REASON: 1) Gaga is there and 2) Bennett and Sinatra always bring back that style of vocal jazz and pop, thus I figured I'd make the connection.

Amy Adams

Slum Village "Eyes Up"
http://youtu.be/JDHX67ovBd0

Why: "Eye" reference for her film 'Big Eyes' (I guess you could just as easily use this for Christopher Waltz, too); also, this will bring us one step closer to getting all of Fantastic Vol. 2 played on The Tonight Show.

Nick Cannon

Das Racist "Chicken and Meat"

Why: "Cannon, cannon, shoot me out the cannon" at 0:33. Nameplay.

The New Pornographers' "Wide Eyes"
http://youtu.be/nH2JA0peNjM?t=1m52s
REASON: In relation to her new movie BIG EYES, fitting with the lyrics:
"And if I see no hope for me
I still see hope for you
In the wide eyes of the morning
The exception that proves my rule"

Nick Cannon
Cheech & Chong featuring Alice Bowie's "Earache My Eye"
http://youtu.be/h_wUTOC-jCY?t=2m33s
REASON: Since he will be starting up LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH & FAMOUS, I go to the end of the song before the record is scratched, where Cheech yells out:
"I'm so bloody rich, ha ha ha ha!
I own apartment buildings and shopping centers, Ha ha ha ha!
and I only know three chords! Ha ha ha"

I see that the Foo Fighters will be on this night and if so, I still have a message for you to send to Nate Mendel. Nate is the bassist from Foo Fighters and lived in Richland, Washington, which for me is the town across the bridge. He and band mate Eric Akre sold me the first Diddly Squat record, their (his) first record, when I was a DJ on KTCV, the high school radio station I was a part of. While he is a worldwide "entertainer" now, let him know that a guy from Pasco, Washington who he sold his record to when I was 16 has remained a fan through all of the bands he has been in (Christ On A Crutch, Brotherhood, Sunny Day Real Estate, and now Foo Fighters) and simply wanted to say "it's been a long time since your days working at Burger Ranch. Keep on going." For further proof, if you remember to do so, show him this picture of him skateboarding in 1987.
http://tinypic.com/r/2i95cnm/8

Nate was one of the reasons I got into punk rock, due to the "jazzy" ways he plays and the fact he plays a Fender Jazz bass. I know you like the nerdy stuff so feel free to pass the message along. His music was also one of the few reasons I got through high school.
==========
Ego aside, a song for Nick:
Funkadelic's "One Nation Under A Groove"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WOZwwRH6XU
REASON: In an interview he did with Reddit AMA, he was asked "What's the most challenging part of being Nick Offerman?" His answer was "penis is wider than it is long", thus...
"So wide, can't get around it
So low, you can't get under it
So high, you can't get over it
So high, can't get above it"

EDIT: I guess I should realize that perhaps this show is already pre-recorded so I may be too late but if not, a Funkadelic suggestion and a hello to Mr. Hanford High School.

Ben Stiller

Slick Rick "Hey Young World"
http://youtu.be/ea-ezolZq5k

Why: He stars in the new film 'We Were Young.'

Brie Larson

Big KRIT "Life's A Gamble"
http://youtu.be/WBiAn17H9Iw

Why: She stars in 'The Gambler.' (This song samples the Marvin Gaye song of the same name, but it's a little too atmospheric for walk-on music...unless you guys groove it up a bit).

Why? The movie's criminally under-rated. (She plays Envy Adams.)

Ben Stiller
The Police's "Walking In Your Footsteps (Live Version)"
http://youtu.be/ITq7J88OLnI?t=3m18s
REASON: Since he stars in the new NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, I go back to the live-only verse Sting sung in "Walking In Your Footsteps", shown in the lyric sheet but only done in concert, where he says:
"To me, it’s a distinction
to laugh at our extinction
but you really ought to think hard
when you’re walking in your graveyard

Fifty million years ago
they walked upon the planet so
they live in a museum
it's the only place you'll see 'em.

Now we're walking in your footsteps"

Brie Larson
Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers' "We Need Some Money"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HssTYrncSTY
REASON: She stars in THE GAMBLER, thus it would be topical.

Chris Pine
Loggins & Messina's "House At Pooh Corner"
http://youtu.be/TZlf9tajcmk?t=50s
REASON: Since he stars in INTO THE WOODS, I thought of the lines:
"But I've wandered much further today than I should
and I can't seem to find my way back to the wood

so help me if you can, I've got to get
back to the house at Pooh Corner by one
you'd be surprised, there's so much to be done"

It's also one of my favorite Loggins & Messina songs, thus I suggest this with high honor.

David Oyelowo
Crap, handle beat me to it. Thus...
Run-DMC's "Down With The King"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUXpNMMqW1A
REASON: I don't think there can be any better choice than the King Holiday song, so while this song has to do with a different "King", it can apply to MLK as well.

The Stooges' "Down On The Street"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qannFs974gg

"Down on the street where the faces shine
floating around, I'm a real low mind

see a pretty thing... in a wall

in a wall"

ALTERNATE PICK
Parliament's "My Automobile"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qyw4FQ-fBz4
REASON: Since I chose The Stooges, I decided to go down the road in Detroit to offer up a bit of early P-Funk:
"All that I want is just a little kiss
all that I want is a teeny weeny hug
if you'll be nice to me
whoa, I'll be good to you
and we'll both ride home in my automobile"

Previously they were seasons, so this "season" started on 2/17/2014. I'd expect it will end on 2/17/2015 (or whatever the last show is before that date.)

So we still have at least 2 months of show to go.
