I see that the Foo Fighters will be on this night and if so, I still have a message for you to send to Nate Mendel. Nate is the bassist from Foo Fighters and lived in Richland, Washington, which for me is the town across the bridge. He and band mate Eric Akre sold me the first Diddly Squat record, their (his) first record, when I was a DJ on KTCV, the high school radio station I was a part of. While he is a worldwide "entertainer" now, let him know that a guy from Pasco, Washington who he sold his record to when I was 16 has remained a fan through all of the bands he has been in (Christ On A Crutch, Brotherhood, Sunny Day Real Estate, and now Foo Fighters) and simply wanted to say "it's been a long time since your days working at Burger Ranch. Keep on going." For further proof, if you remember to do so, show him this picture of him skateboarding in 1987. http://tinypic.com/r/2i95cnm/8
Nate was one of the reasons I got into punk rock, due to the "jazzy" ways he plays and the fact he plays a Fender Jazz bass. I know you like the nerdy stuff so feel free to pass the message along. His music was also one of the few reasons I got through high school. ========== Ego aside, a song for Nick: Funkadelic's "One Nation Under A Groove" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WOZwwRH6XU REASON: In an interview he did with Reddit AMA, he was asked "What's the most challenging part of being Nick Offerman?" His answer was "penis is wider than it is long", thus... "So wide, can't get around it So low, you can't get under it So high, you can't get over it So high, can't get above it"
EDIT: I guess I should realize that perhaps this show is already pre-recorded so I may be too late but if not, a Funkadelic suggestion and a hello to Mr. Hanford High School.
