Maybe it's them five courses I ate, or this sangria I'm sipping on, but I'm in a music making mood. If you've been around you'll know it's been a while since I posted like this. Really more a challenge for me than anything else but it can be fun.
Challenge for me today is to actually you know make a song and shit. LOL!! I mean like an actual song not that noise I be posting about. A real bonafide song with some sort of structure theme, mood etc.
Kinda cheating, I know where I'm going thematically. But it could be fun to see where it ends up.
Theme: the normalcy of people of color getting killed by cops.
I'll be back with updates, and hopefully post up a little demo before it's too late.

i think i stuck myself by trying to lay the vocals first. i was trying to get the structure together, because I already had all of these ideas, but in doing so locked shit into my shitty since of harmony. I should have started with the rest of the instrumentation to get the tuning and such on point, then just sang shit hella outta key. now i either gotta commit to the structure I've laid, or scrap them all together and start over.

to a board of self-professed music lovers hoping one day they'll all agree with you that music today sucks. you think they are all lying to themselves because every time you make a poll it's so close (ie your 50/50 split) that there should be more voices of discontent and its frustrating you an't get these guys to just admit it, after pages of posts proving your theory by calculated reduction of the impacts of music and the parallels with sales. so you can't figure out why it's not working despite the poll results (of ten voters it's worth mentioning). and so you'll just continue posting despite the fact nobody takes you seriously, because this is a serious issue that we'll all wake up to eventually, if you can just get a critical mass of posts made showing us the way. and you keep doing this... over and over... and over and over. not to mention the fact that you change 'identities' every couple of weeks to keep (who exactly) on their toes. but even with new 'identities' the same 'personality' keeps repeating teh same thing over and over again to the same people and hoping to get a different response.
you do realize that's textbook crazy right there right?
