>Do y'all even rock with this dude? He will never get anywhere >with this boxed in mentality. And no I'm not typing his name >out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8Ui7gJjvJs
but he's constantly getting press & mentions. He's going to keep trolling until he comes up with a hit record. Once you realize that, then you gotta decide whether you want to keep trying to clown him, or move on to someone else.

>he has fans everywhere, he has a very entertaining persona >T.I. wants to sign him, Diddy is on his remixes, but he's >nobody
He's not a nobody but he's wisely used the platform he's been given to look like he's the hottest thing on the streets. I didn't go outside & hear Troy Ave once this summer. He doesn't have the type of Youtube views to warrant the buzz that he claims either. He has an entertaining persona, and he's probably great at networking. But his music isn't making waves like that. But hey, if French Montana is a multi-millionaire, maybe Troy Ave can get there one day too...

I've yet to have a conversation with someone who listens to hip hop and have them say "I'm listening to Troy Ave". Not one. When he came out at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival nobody moved. Hell I grew up with his manager, I'd like for him to be dope and do well because the fam would do well. Unfortunately he's not that good and his ego makes him completely unlikeable.

>maybe it's a New York backlash
you saw the video.. he can't spit.. so why should he get props over here?
>he headlines his own tours, made the XXL cover. But on the web >he's an untalented nobody
ok but u realize EVERYONE is on "the web" ..unless your saying the guy has a huge following with people who are off the grid and don't go online? ...maybe my grandpa will like him? no wait he's on AOL fuck
I've never heard anyone say he's hot or has a flow, or a dope song. Nothing. I've just seen him next to the right people and talking a gang of shit. I honestly heard his shit talking before his music. I listened to New York City and heard a few songs that were decent but nothing to revisit. A LOT of 50 cent in the flow for the joints I heard. Eh overall I'm not with the bullshit when people come weak as a rapper and you look for other reasons to let it slide. I can't pretend like I don't know better.

i've heard people shit on ye, drake, a$ap, weezy, odd future, lil b, kendrick, 2 chainz, Future, Young Thug, etc. IRL why? because they aren't a blip on the radar like troy ave.
