I ain't really wanna go in, because Laz is an artist, and I know what it's like to share
your art. It's a vulnerable action, and negative criticism can be a bit disheartening.

At the same time, I get howard's reasoning for approaching the way he did and truly
understand his upset at the use of the flag at all.

So I'm torn. Ultimately I think somebody needs to say what howard's saying. As much

I, personally, was referring to the last verse and the multicultural angle where you go
into how white women got big booties now and rednecks bump Pac in their trucks.
It's all basically to say we're one and the same or that we live together in harmony and
so forth. This is not the case, as we still exist within a system to racism against us.
It's important that we view that system as an enemy and see it for what it is, yet one
of our greatest enemies is the belief that the system is not against us. That's when
they're able to kill us without protest from us, or experiment on people of African descent
around the globe without us even being concerned. We're the only race who seems
to just refuse to look out for our own. It's gone too far at this point. That was where
I was coming from, mainly.

how far we still have to go, especially in my state. Hell, I said "I don't subscribe to false naivete/acting like it's all good, I know where I stay". I put that part about the rednecks bumping Pac because I used to work at a car wash & have to prep these cars w/rebel flags & I used to ask these folk while vacuuming, "Hey, what does that flag mean to you?" Again, I'm not no Uncle Remus ass dude, in fact, this is the 1st I've ever been on some inclusive shit w/whites. I'm saying this is a mindset of a progressive south that keeps its southern values but getting out of that old shit too. I'm just tryna spark somn positive starting with/the folk where I'm from.
