With the cache Kendrick has built up from Section.80 and GKMC, he can "afford" to drop two songs that people dislike. People are still going to check out the album no matter what because of how heavy of a player he is. I do think the song will be dope, though.

The key with white people is that you have to be conscious in a way that makes them feel comfortable
Once you start talking about things they don't know about (Lupe was talking about drones in 2007, well before white rap fans knew what it was), they feel uncomfortable

I think they actually had a white following for a while because....well....the first album was just outstanding musically...but the message was subversive enough that they became dispensable
There was more gang affiliated stuff for white kids to like, and so the same kinds bumping that were on 50 Cent a few years later
