"a few notes about the spice girls. "
so the club i was in last night played a spice girls megamix. everybody danced, and a good time was had by all.
i went back to listen to some of these albums when i got home. to tell the truth, even as a music snob, as pop music you can do a lot worse.
actually, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say their first two albums were very good.
a few notes about the spice girls:
the vast majority of songs on both of their albums were good enough to be singles, but nothing was better than the singles they released.
the songs have nods to Motown, broadway, house, light funk and 90's r&b. pretty eclectic palate, when you think about it.
the song lyrics send nothing but mixed messages. They are either fucking a lot or not at all. They might like you but need to "slow it down" and "get to the point."
innocent but not asexual pop fun. it's like when the dude from that boyband asks: "am i sexual?"
i don't know what that line means. it reminds you of sex without actually talking about it. the spice girls are completely unreadable.

>is a thing that, sadly, no girl has ever said to me.
that song is about Lesbians...
You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Just finished "Love Thing" and am listening to "Last Time Lover" (tracks 4 and 5, respectively) from Spice, and they're not bad. The latter sounds kind of TLC-ish because whoever is on vocals sounds kind of like T-Boz here.
