Same here. I heard that song on 88.5 in Atlanta and was like, yep I'm buying that CD. I had just started my 12th grade year. September 96. That's how dope rap used to be. A nicca remembers when he first heard songs.

it flowed perfectly, every song had it's own vibe, it was refreshingly original but had everything that made hip-hop dope at the time fully represented...the singles were perfectly selected and released too, Distortion to Static remains one of the most underrated singles in Rap history
