IMHO it's around the same quality, songwriting-wise--and maybe even musicianship-wise--as a lot of the music you big up.
If Gilles were to play one of ##### tracks for some reason, I bet you would suddenly be into it. Because you don't have any actual ability to assess music on its own merit.

If you really believed that there are links to multiple New Soul yearly posts where I've brought artists to the table that you could compare #### stuff too....if your goal was to actually give props to a guy just because you think he deserves shine...then you would have compared him to an artist who is recently releasing music and not D'Angelo.
