This is typically when they have at least done a few dates but I guess it isn't happening. I think they need to take a break and get it together. Shit ain't been that GREAT since like 2008. What's your thoughts okay fam?

Yeah. R.I.P. Rock The Bells and Paid Dues in L.A.

Mainly because of money issues, like serious money issues. Like, million dollar debt issues.

They were running out of headliners, big reunions, etc. that made them so great in the beginning.

Not this year.

I think they needed a year to reorganize and are shooting for a return in 2015.

They kinda talked about this when Paid Dues was cancelled.

I think they messed up last year by trying to spread it out over 2 days. Too many tickets to sell. just go back to making it a one-day event

But when he borrowed money, just to hopefully make money to pay that back and still profit...then lost money...THEN borrowed more money...then lost more money, canceling shows and still having to pay for so many expenses...yeah, it was a wrap.

they started the VIP section boolshyt, package deals and all that. It was better when there was one price and no seats...errbody sit they ass down on the grass and enjoy the show.

Adding 'levels to this shit' basically brought in that same 'class' discrimination mentality that I thought I was getting away from my supporting a more 'underground' kind of venue/show.

Getting a snide look from somebody who paid an extra $200 for one of Layzie Bone's errant cornrow hairs to land in his fake margarita aint the life.

sucks to see a hip hop fest bite the dust but it was getting too coachella-y for my tastes.

that shit was worth it. show was in a parking lot, it was hot as hell... VIP section was shaded w/mists spraying all over. VIP bars instead of the GA pig pen bar area (seriously, they caged in folks buying liqour between the two stages). Great view of the main stage.

at other RTB shows VIP just aint worth it, especially when VIP was lawn seats with meet and greet, what the fuck i wanna meet them for? $150 on top of my ticket? nah, play that dope shit and keept it moving.

that said if they ever held it at a venue like the 07 one i might consider VIP, the year before 07 and every year after has been held at a regular pavilion venue (lawn + seats).
