while people overanalyze tracks that were throwaways to begin with his fans are happy and excited for anything he drops. song's just ok to me but when you have a following like pro era has it doesn't matter he's not competing for mainstream success so he's not going to have conventional music industry marketing strategies.

doesn't make is less weird to me
imagine if asap rocky posted a song on soundcloud of which the beat was a replayed version of the "peso" sample that was pitched up or down. or if eminem gave away a song that consisted of new raps over a group of studio musicians playing the "my name is" sample in a different key. it invites comparisons to an already known and likely superior work. i find it odd that someone would knowingly do that
fwiw this criticism isn't limited to joey. i have a similar problem with snoop's "doggystyle" having the same (or nearly the same) descending bassline on 3 songs
i used it here first then saw something in gd immediately after that NEEDED this gif i will give it a break for a few days lol i love it so much tho waka look like me when i hear one of his records lol
