Not feelin Suga Free's verse but overall I'm really liking the song. Would of been better as just Quik spittin.

I agree. Dom Kennedy was cool on there too. the production is dope. I can keep that instrumental on repeat all day.

Not really digging this. Quik sounds bored on this one. I would like to hear a whole album with him and Dom Kennedy but this doesn't do it for me.

I need Way 2 Fonky and Safe + Sound, too.

Kumail and Emily are the best, and it was really fun to go on there. Though my man Jordan is practically their third host at this point, and he's both funnier and a much more serious gamer than I, so it's a tough act to follow.

And, Quik is one of my favorite artists.

The melody in Pet Semetary is too busy for anyone to try to rap over. I couldn't even really concentrate on Quik's lyrics because the beat was taking me in a completely other direction. The song would have worked better as an instrumental.

Also, the video was very poorly done. I've said it before and will say it again, Quik NEEDS A STYLIST.

Great examples of this are his attire in the video for Luv Of My Life in comparison to what he wore in the visuals for Nobody. In the outtakes vid for the latter, you see he had a stylist on staff that day.


And, contrary to what everyone else has said in here, I kind of liked Suga Free's verse on Lifejacket. He is a VERY acquired taste and when he just spouts out a random phrase that has nothing to do with the rest of the verse, it can be pretty jarring, but, I think he did a decent job on this one. I just didn't care for the beat all too much.

At the end of the day, Quik is DEFINITELY one of the most talented cats in hip hop since its inception, but, he just doesn't perform enough quality control.

Come to grips with the fact that most OKP's are of the Nut Hugger lineage, so, if you' re not part of the little cliques that exist 'round here, your posts will probably tank like Souljaboy's album sales.
