That's a ten year long "flash in the pan."
When is that flash gonna burn out? LOL.
50's numbers may be down, but everybody's numbers are down. He's still in a better position than a lot of rappers who came before him and most rappers that came after him.
I'm not so much a fan of 50 as an artist as I am 50 the shit-talker/entrepreneur, but he's a good hook writer and delivers listenable verses consistently (I'm not expecting him to wow me with the word choice or one liners). He hasn't made any epic deals lately, but he's still active and sounds pretty invigorated on the new EP. I tip my hat to him for his perseverance.

but I am slightly embarrassed at how much I fell into that G-unit era. I actually ran out before Massacre but had bought all the mixtapes I could, all those DJ Whoo Kid ones found power of the dollar, etc and played the crap out of GRODT when it dropped.
Literally one of my favorite artists when he came out and probably one I am most ashamed of now being 27-28 at the time. At least Hammer and Vanilla Ice I could put on my youth and just not knowing any better. lol I can't remember the last time I played thru any of those mixtapes or even GRODT, they stay boxed up in the basement somewhere.
