on here when CFWIF came out. I think it's borderline timeless (dare I say). I haven't listened to his other ones. That some you feel another album of his is better.. well I need to listen to em bcuz i just figured he can't top this. Equal it? maybe.
Point of it all seemed to be like ANW, but not as good.
I was kinda disappointed by Back to Love. I love his voice but sometimes the songwriting devolves into schmaltz for me. It would be great to hear a Roots/AH album collabo album. I like his stuff that sounds more organic, live bandy sounding…goes great when his voice gets all raw.
His music has definitely been becoming more "polished" over the years, particularly with BTL and TPOIA. My fantasy pairing is actually for him to hook up with Daptone Records for an album - probably not an impossible thing to happen but recent reports suggest he's been in the studio with Timbaland and Pharrell for his next album.
