"Poll question: Make a prediction about Apollo Brown's career."

Will Brown suffer the same "fall from grace" as 9th Wonder (whose, imo, incredible 2011 solo album got ignored and underrated just because we're "done" with his style)?

Or will having such a limited style continue to work for Brown?

& I dig Apollo, but I find myself confused by the opposite reactions people give the two producers. Set me straight.

So my answer for now is I've copped most of what he's came with. It's comfort food. I know what I'm getting (pro and con).

When I'm in the mood for mid-tempo, mostly soul sample, stout, boom-bap with no frills with almost always dope MC's he's a reliable source. That isn't a bad thing.

He's gotten a lot of mileage out of his formula so far.

And he has a better track record as far as album quality than 9th at this point. He'll be fine as long as he doesnt vary from his style too much.

…where I disagree is that "The Wonder Years" was super average, two to three bangers, the rest is just not really that good...
