I have heard a few of the songs he's worked on, and he has more than enough material...just has to figure out what to actually use for the album, because he is BIG on the flow of the album making sense, and no forcing any songs on there. Like, he might omit a song that's the 3rd or 4th best track and use it for later, even slide it to another artist while keeping his hook, if it doesn't fit the mood and vibe of his project.
And Motown is actually giving him creative freedom on it.

put out a whole lot of material since then, or been on as many songs as he was in 2010-2012 before "Studio" dropped.
He was for sure working on the album most of last year when the tours slowed down....but he's done a few shows since then. I missed the last three that he asked me to do, only because I was out of town, but I can see that he is getting back on that, to set up for when he is ready to drop.

I just hope they have the right marketing team. I would say they have some amazing artists and solid creative personnel there...
But it's a far cry from the money and vision of Sylvia and even the help she got from people like Kedar..

Voice and songwriter around.
Which is strange because he's been all over TDE records and others for the longest, I swear if he was featured on good kid, he'd be soaring.
I remember the first time I heard him, when The New Beginning dropped, was the first time I really thought differently about new R&B. before Frank & before the Weeknd, this is the guy that got the bad taste that radio had put in my mouth, circa 09.
"I'm Doing Me" "Take it Off" "Good 1" "We Can Make It"
alot of recycled popular beats, but man ,his songwriting, I wish could be on every song ever.
