I think I liked this sound more when INXS and did it. I dig the music and bridge, but it really just makes me wanna hear the voice of Michael Hutchence Not really feeling what Lenny did with the verses.
SO many songs that i almost like. that i kinda like. i WANT to like Lenny's stuff so much more than i do. on paper it seems like the kind of stuff i should love. it should be right up my alley. but he misses the mark every time. i don't get it.

i haven't liked anything since the Love Revolution album, i think. i couldn't get through that Black in America album or whatever the hell it was called. i'll give it another shot someday.

but now that you mention it, he was probably going for INXS.
LIke most of Lenny's work, I find it not unpleasant to listen to while being completely pointless and slightly embarrassing (for both the artist and the listener).
I've always said that I don't believe in guilty pleasures but Lenny might be mine... I have to admit I would feel some way if someone I respected caught me listening to, say, Baptism.
