i haven't tried in ages, but the last time i did TVOne's website wasn't working for me at all and the little random sites that re-post stuff seemed to be posting that same link that didn't work.

Kinda weird episode list...
Rick James may have been eclipsed by MJ and Prince...But he was not "Unsung"....
Bone is one of the biggest selling rap acts of all time...I mean I would love to see the Bizzy story alone...But they were huge...
Montell Jordan?????? That nigga was a one-song gamble that made "hood" R&B songs for white frat parties...
I can roll with Troop and the Chi-Lites though...And that Wilson Pickett joint should be epic...
But damn...this is weak sauce...
GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

...when I tried to make it on indie labels, and then I switched over to gospel music cause they will listen to anyone who can sing regardless of labels.
His story is going to be so predictable that it's not even going to be interesting at all...but I'll still watch it just to laugh at it.

The show is clearly Behind the Music for acts that VH-1 will likely ignore. Maybe acts who sold 'big' are included bc ratings for acts who didn't sell shit have been low. I dunno or care and I wanna see most of the eps on this schedule.

Not only in the fashion if it's subjects (Rick James? & Bone? Unsung compared to who? Freakin Michael Jackson & NWA?), but it seems the production quality has went down a lot. They don't really dig that deep anymore and it's really softball style subject matter.

a chapter in a book (like those "Just a touch of classic soul" books) or a whole giant biography on one artist/band is always appreciated.
Even if quality went down, we (us musicians especially) just want to know about bands/artist. So, yep give us all the Unsung's they can produce, whatever the quality.

I think they basically tried to stay away from the soul artists that only made a few albums but had hits, like half the groups on the Salsoul label or Buddah Records, damn it's so many others who had one or two hits but got a cloudy history that we want to know but most of these kats they got listed for this season seem like it's going to be a ton of boring info & mostly about tour shows & the wild shit they did while on tour & how many women they fucked, but not much on the music side like writing or contributors or shady signing with various labels.
And Rick James unsung, c'mon VH1 (Behind The Music) & BET already did shows on him what are they going to say that hasn't already been said on those two shows...not a damn thing, other than interviewing people who knew him or was on tour with him that didn't get interviewed on the other two documentaries.
