"The many lyrical styles of Will Smith"

I'm probably just spouting shit here, but I've always thought that on occasion Will Smith switched his style in in the manner of other rappers.

Summertime = Rakim
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr0tTbTbmVA

Boom Shake The Room = LL Cool J
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO076n2VXuY

Code Red = Ice Cube (verse 3)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0gHaLkjBF8
(nice Pete Rock production)

By the way, I like Will Smith. No irony. Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince released some absolute classics.

still funny to me he ghost wrote jiggy, if he had done that track himself he would have been crucified much like You Owe Me, worked great for Will tho

Alright, let's clear this up once and for all.

I hung out with Will in the studio. And watched him write it. It was a fun studio session, and I said a line or two or three to him. It wasn't that serious. Will Smith wrote that song.

But seriously, I watched him have fun making that record on his own, and Will is a true MC.

I'd say the multi-syllables and general cadence in the verses sound a bit like Biggie. Note: I'M NOT SAYING THIS TRACK IS AS GOOD AS BIGGIE. But imagine Biggie's voice doing the verses.
