Eagles were a little AOR friendly to me.
Alt-country/country-rock or whatever you want to call it is pretty big here in Texas, but I'm not really in to it. Tons of hipster kids who came up on indie, suddenly getting in to country music. smh.
--------- sig: I got Chad in my heart and DJ Screw in my cup.
...the off-putting thing was that on swedish TV, his latest (?) album was advertised as a mix of Sting and Eric Clapton. I mean, if you want Jakob to check out an album, those references are an epic fail. I will check him out more indepth one day though but *ONLY* because Joe Corn Moe seems like a cool guy and he loves Mayer, LOL! If he sucks... Seriously, I suspect him to suck but I hope I will get the point, I don't think Corn Mo would dig Repulsion or Cecil Taylor... It's a matter of respect at the end of the day...

Buffalo Springfield (obviously not a country-rock *band* but this might be my favorite country-rock tune; Richie Furay knocked it out the park here, Poco was never this good...):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bj7LzlZfWg8
Obviously, early Poco, the Byrds "Sweethearts of the rodeo" etc. as well.
I assume youv'e heard all this stuff (well, maybe not the obscure Cowboy whose albums are HIGHLY recommended) but if anyone else cares, theres better stuff than the Eagles out there IMO
