I get that if they're not feeling the musical direction then it would be hard to complete but they need to all sit down and come up with a plan that they all agree on.
If RZA wants to do all of the music, then cool.
Every 2 weeks they need to sit down with beats he made and collectively decide which ones they want to use. There are 8 living official members...if 5 of them agree on a beat then they write to it. Best concept stays...best verses stay... Best hook stays.
Either way, Rae and the other members have to give RZA final say on something. Because someone has to decide how tracks are arranged. Someone has to decide on who came with the best verse. Not to say RZA gets the only say but there does have to be one person leading those discussions.
But if they're all grown ass men...shit should be easy. Best beats stay, best verses stay. If RZA is mad because his beats got passed on then he needs to suck it up and come harder. If an MC is mad they didn't make the cut, they need to suck it up and come harder. If there is a specific beat that one member loves but it didn't get the majority vote...fuck it... Let them keep it for a solo.

in reality it sounds like a recipe for disaster..
I can't really see that approach working and it be NO ego trippin and dudes just swallowing it, which I think is mostly the problem now.
Im mostly talking about Ghost & Rae..I mean shit..those two have been the ONLY tangible light for the Wu the last..almost 15 years! (Supreme Clientele came out in like 99-2000 right?, Ever since then it's been ALL Ghost and Rae doing anything worth paying attention to from the Wu).
So I would guess Ghost & Rae would feel slighted and demoted trying to take the democracy approach. Those two guys would feel like their word and say so would mean more being they've been the only one really carrying the flag the last decade plus.
I think the thing that keeps those two relevant is that they stick to what they do best.
At least when they have success and get the critical acclaim they do...Supreme, Fishscale, Cuban Linx II...
I feel like they don't need to be slighted at all because when presented with different beats, they're going to rock with the ones they're feeling and the other will ultimately fall in line.
Shit, part of that initial meeting, they need to bring that shit up. Supreme hit...Fishscale hit...Cuban Linx II hit and even Wu vs Shaolin hit more so than anything else they've done.
That's just the truth and they ALL need to face that.
Fuck that ego shit. That's why I said, "if they're grown ass men".

He's not that ill or important in 2014 to give him this much power.
Assuming everyone else in the crew is on point, the guests (if any) aren't forced and make sense (Wu affiliates, Nas, Redman), and production is nice, eff a Rae.

Before that it was Ghost.
He's got like 3x the output (counting mixtapes) of every other Wu General except Ghost. _________________________________________

And I've enjoyed most of it and would still check for solo Rae stuff going forward, but again, if everything else is in place and dope (a big assumption, I know) it doesn't make sense to shelve the whole album cuz of no Rae.

Rae is most prolific right now, but I really wouldn't mind a Wu album without him. The way it's sounding, it would be better without him anyway, simply because he isn't on the same page as the rest of the members at this point.

def. rza is backing up all his reasons with legit points. rae is pretty much giving your typical rapper demands and not seeing the bigger picture

reads, builds with people in different intellectual and creative fields, eats well, plays chess at a high level, meditates and practices martial arts, and has extended his career past the Wu brand, while always repping Wu

Personally, I think that if Rae ultimately says "No", then "A Better Tommorow" should come out as a Rza solo album (that just so happens to feature the rest of the Clan). Rae never gets on Rza's solo projects anyway, LOL...

No album. Y'all can blame Rae. Weak album with Rae. Blame Rae for delaying and fucking with the cohesion. Weak album without Rae. Blame Rae for withholding his contribution as a top tier general.
The only winning option for Rae at this point is to hop on the album and rap his ass off.
