I love Amoeba Records but don't give them no copies.
Dope way of getting it out there without putting it in one source for folks to snatch it up instantly. But what will prevent the stores/emplyees from snatching it up themselves?
Would like to see how this works and maybe see others do something like this but maybe more than 100 copies.

I would guess I might be able to get one in Detroit? I'm gonna try street corner....but I'm expecting the loss lol. I wish they had don't 1000, hell even 500 would've been cool.

Just kidding. I'm just mad none of the records will be in my area. I guess the eBay route is for those who aren't in an area that will receive the record. That's kinda cool because it gives those people a chance to own it if they want. For a hefty ass price of course.

But I know how the vinyl industry works, in about three months bootleg copies will surface but I bet even those will be going for a pretty penny (probably around $50 to $100).

Well that's what the copies on ebay are going for http://www.ebay.com/itm/301156014203 , I guess the ones that will surface in those six different cities will cost probably less than $600 but damn even if it was $100, I didn't want those instrumentals THAT bad.
I guess buy pressing up a limited number of vinyl & selling at such a high price is to help out Ma Dukes will bills & such but even if they made 500 to 1000 copies at a lesser price would still get better results and more in the hands of fans though.
