I've kind of gotten a little bored with Apollo Brown on the last project or 2 he put out, but this track sounds dope. Concept is promising too. Maybe inspired a little by the Ghost/Adrian Younge project?

I played it through once yesterday. There were a couple joints (tracks 9-11 were a high point IMO), but overall I was a little disappointed. I had to just skip a couple tracks halfway through because they were boring and/or repetitive without someone rapping on them. Closer to just a beat tape than an "instrumental album" IMO.
I was listening to this in the car yesterday and thought he might have gone a little extra with the static. Instead of the "old record" vibe I just kept thinking my speakers were blown or something.
I don't want it to sound like I'm totally shitting on this project though. It's cool, I just had higher expectations for it I guess.

So....the cd WILL NOT include the two Roc Marciano assisted versions ya? Just the instrumentals? Only the dumb bonus vinyl which is utterly useless to me and my turntable - less life will?
