He just hasn't had to work within that format yet. It's refreshing to see a mixtape come-up like his work so well, but I think he's capable of the major label look. It's just a matter of getting someone to cut the fat, and to extract the very best he has to offer - and I think Dr. Dre is the perfect person to do that.

His last project on original production 'Unconscious State' was probably one of his best, but in general he's had strong singles throughout the multiple projects he's dropped in a relatively short amount of time.
Connor is the homie, definitely one of the hardest working people I know, gifted at rapping/songwriting, and a genuine person. Needless to say, the last 7-8 months have been really exciting and the success is well-deserved.

He's pretty versatile topically, and he plays with a lot of flows here. I think he killed everything, and he does a good job of paying homage to the original songs while still making them his own.
All that being said, I've always thought he released too much stuff. The reason I was excited for him signing to Aftermath is that I thought that signing with Dr. Dre would get him to focus on making a solid 14-15 songs that showcase everything he can be, and that have great production, instead of dropping mixtape stuff so often. I liked this tape a lot, but I'm more excited to hear the retail record he comes with.
