"Return of the Hardcore - ILL Brown"
So Tuesday my guy Ill Brown dropped his first official solo project. It's a follow up to his original mixtape, 'Hotter than July' in which he enlisted a plethora of emcee's to bless his production. The list includes Jap City, Dave Coresh, Sam I Am, Mike Schpitz, Sulaiman Shabazz and Malik Yusef among others.
This time around, Illz picked up the pen and hopped in the booth to lace up aggressive beats with aggressive rhymes for the appropriately titled "Return of the Hardcore". ROTH features production by Alchemist, SC, Maja 7th (Wu Affiliates, Mickey Halsted, Freddie Gibbs) and Ill Brown himself (Freddie Gibbs, Casey Veggies, Kid Daytona, Dom Kennedy, Slim Thug, Bun B).
I'd love to get opinions on my boys work...check out the first few singles:
As a member of The Weathermen, ILL Brown has produced beats for alot of Hip-Hop's up and comers. Many people are not aware of his work because he has done it under the name of The Weathermen with Nick Kage. He has done solo work under the group name "The Weathermen", along with work he has done solo under the name ILL Brown.
