"i wish pussy riot's music didn't suck balls." Thu Feb-20-14 01:55 PM by ted_turnup
i mean what other musical act in today's "pussified" climate would do 2 years hard labor behind bars for "protesting", get out of jail and do the exact same thing that sent them to jail?

nobody wants to get they ass beat in the middle of a really good groove. having the music be shitty makes the beatings almost flow into the sonics of the music.

i'm conflicted on who to root for...
on one hand, i'm definitely in favor of people shaking shit up and trying to make a stand for something they believe in, especially when using music to do so.
on the other hand, the music is so bad i'm almost cheering for the guy waving the bull whip to whip the shit out of them.

i mean in the olympic video they roll up with a mic and guitar, no cables, no amps. sure they actually started 'performing' the 'music', but they knew they were going to get shut down before the second bar. the point wasn't to play the song.

That's what I always thought about PE especially songs like "Brotha's Gonna Work It Out". Like damn this would suck to have this song ruined because it would bring back the memory of me getting a foot in my ass and having my tooth knocked out.
nothing screams maturity like a multi-year obsession with running down what you think the collective tastes are of a bunch of unrelated people.
FWIW I'm pro-Pussy Riot as a concept, but as a fan of punk rock, this is not very good punk rock. It's mediocre. I would certainly not go out of my way to listen to it.
