I've actually been doing a lot better, probably two or three times a week, about a half hour or so each time.
It's hard - we are so antsy and well-trained by _____ that our brains don't like to turn off. We want a visual, we want something to entertain us. But when it's just you and the music, you realize that listening is (or could or should be) a much more active activity than we generally realize.

I used to do it a few hours per day but I just fell out of the habit. Part of it was that with new music dropping so often I was always waiting for the next thing as opposed to appreciating what I already have.
I've gotten back to doing it a couple hours a week and it feels great. I wanna do it more often though.

sometimes i lay in bed and fall asleep to music. most times its at my desk at work or while i'm studying at night if my daughters aren't seeking my attention.

It's hard to convince ourselves that we have time to sit and listen to music, but when you think about how much time we spend watching tv or clicking around on the internet, it gets harder and harder to keep that charade up...
