Pharrell prolly keeps 20 songs in his mind at all times...so creating 10 in about 4 or 5 months (because I doubt he was working on this before the Get Lucky/Blurred Lines/Happy train) prolly wasn't too hard for him. Can't wait to hear it.

I'm really holding out hopes for an amazing album and although 'Happy' was proof he doesn't actually need help from anyone, I'm hoping he hooks up with Chad for a few songs and even rekindles the Daft Punk magic with them (and maybe even Nile) for a song or two.

Following Pharrell's massive 2013 of collaborating with Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers, and Robin Thicke, he recently announced plans for his own next full-length. G I R L is out March 3 on Columbia. Now Popjustice has revealed a tracklist (check it out below) including collaborations with Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, and Alicia Keys.
In other Pharrel news, the world may never know what was underneath his enormous, Vivienne Westwood-designed hat at the Grammys... But, now, someone can own it. As Line of Best Fit points out, the "Mountain Hat" is up for auction on eBay, with proceeds benefiting the non-profit From One Hand to Another. The piece of music-meme history has already reached 64 bids at a price of $10,500.

According to the eBay listing, From One Hand to Another aims to "help change the world one kid at a time by giving them the tools and resources to meet their unique potential and empower them to nurture curiosity by learning through new technologies, arts, media and motivation!" The auction runs through March 2.

I find it difficult to believe that you will actually avoid this album altogether strictly based off a tracklist, one undesirable feature and a singular missing link. Especially from someone this talented who it seems like you otherwise like as an artist. Just a weird way to think, IMO.

I'm def a fan of Skateboard P but I wasn't a fan of his musical contributions last year so if he's trying to bank in on the success of "Happy" and the Daft Punk tracks, I'm not looking forward to it. MC isn't the only problem I have with the guest appearances either. I'm not looking forward to any of the guests that have been listed here but again, I will wait until I hear some of the other tunes. Just a little let down by this announcement.

My issues with Pharrell's last shot at a solo album was NOT the rapping. Or the singing. Or the cameos that attempted to make the album seem 'bigger' than it really was. Tricks and shenanigans aside, that album had a solid stack of jams on it. I'm still a little surprised that folks hate it and Pharrell apparently views it like Maxwell viewed Embrya or something worse. And don't start me on the remix shit with 15...absurdly jamming.

To me, outside of showing up with In My Mind 3-5 years too early, the issue was more that he deliberately separated the singing from the rapping. Like 'here's my singing ass singing songs, y'all. And its totally for dem bitches! Now, holdup...I know what you thinkin, niggas...here's this rappin!'. It clearly isn't impossible to just show up singing and rapping on the same song. Now, Drake does that shit all the time and I think 'yep...that works for me'. And Aubrey isn't the best rapper..and he's even further down the list when it comes to 'singing'. And he's smart enough to not 'sing' on something like 'Worst Behavior' or 'Lord Knows'. And he'll coo it up with no attempt at rapping on a 'Find Your Love' or 'Hold On, We're Going Home'.

The Love Below ruined lives I guess. For my $, Spread is my favorite song on that album now even if Prototype, Lap, and Life in a Day may be 'better'. Spread though...3000 basically sang a song and then did his own rap cameo with a dope verse before going back into singing. And it set up the whole Panties --> Prototype --> Lap sequence that I stay putting on playlists when I think about it.

And now, Pharrell might be pulling a Cee-Lo and going with the 'rap isn't my vessel of expression anymore' bullshit. Maybe I'm overreacting, but shit..Skateboard P...rap a lil if you want to! Don't let these mofos talk you outta yo shit! Get Pusha to write you some shit...it worked out great for you before and Kanye more recently on Dark Fantasy! What!? Like I'm lying...
