"can we talk about AARON LIVINGSTON here?"

i was introduced to him via icebird, like a lot of cats were i imagine

found his "greatest hits" vol 0 & 1 on bandcamp (in quotes because they're more like demos, but whatever, but still some standout tracks in there - without love, thanks, i admit)

just found the group he was in previously - The Mean. pretty interesting config, switching off lead singing, odd time sigs, etc
2 albums, a lot of varied stuff, some rougher than others, but again some dope standouts - Mahalia, Tumblin, Words Like These

features - couple with the roots, couple with RJD2, several from Hezekiah's records, one or two other randoms

and of course the most recent thing he dropped was the single under the name Son Little, which we all can agree was a heater
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny27_Phcwfs

SO - am i missing any chunks of material or history here? any news on the son little release? favorite tracks? this guy really has been bubbling just below the surface for a long time for such an amazing talent.

Loved that album, some of RJ's most accesible work in my opinion

dunno when the new albums coming out. He had a project with the producer Hot Sugar called Young Vipers... they played at the Roots Picnic a few years back. Dunno what happened to that but one of their songs was the basis for the track "sleep" off the last Roots album

I'm a big fan of this unreleased song of the mean's:
