Last song? Easily The Corner, but probably something after that too, i'd just have to think about it. I'm thinking something with Cocaine 80's off the top.

"A Dream" from the Freedom Writer's soundtrack. He tore that shit up.
That said though, I honestly feel like people underestimate a lot of his work since those though. I think he tore up a couple tracks on Finding Forever, "Start the Show" comes to mind immediately. I think he destroyed that track on some old school Common shit.
Then there's "Gold" from Dreamer/Believer. And I really liked that whole album.
I think he's still got a TON of great bars on both his last two albums (I don't consider UMC an album...I like to pretend it doesn't exist at all)...but for full songs of his vintage lyricism since Be I'm looking at the 3 tracks mentioned in this post.
I've got high hopes for this next album. I think Common will do well when focused on a particular concept for an entire album, which is something he's never really done. And so far I like "WAR" and LOVE "Made in Black America" so we'll see.

on the 2nd and 3rd verses of the all Common version. Though Nas had a great verse I'm almost mad we had to miss out on that third Common verse on the album version. He went nutty on that shit and it finished out the theme better, for sure.

I think this post is under-appreciating of the multitude of lyrical displays we've seen from Common in recent years. He's inconsistent of late but he didn't lose it. The last display for a full *album* was Be, for sure.
But, you named The Game...and outside of that and the ones I've already named in this post I'm coming up with The Dreamer and The Believer as well.

I thought some of the shit on Dreamer/Believer was really good. Maybe not lyrical slaughter or whatever but just thoughtful topical songs from an "older" rapper.
That's dope because I actually thought "The Dreamer, The Believer" was a solid ass album that I felt was criminally overlooked. If you could elaborate, did No ID do the entire album again?
