"i'm glad rappers got away from multitracking rap verses..."

that was so wack in the 00's (the 00's yo!)

every last line have 3 tracks of the rapper SAYING IT WITH HIM.

and the rapper saying shit in the background (uh!)

try and find a good rap song from before about 1996 with anybody doing this.

1 verse, 1 vocal track please.
thanks.

glad people got back to this for the last few years...
the drawback is every beat sounds exactly the same as every other boring ass beat nowadays.

i'm still salty at all those ruined dipset beats.
at least instrumentals exist for a lot of 'em.

They're doubling lines for emphasis, it's just EQ'd better. The non-doubling adlibs have disappeared though and that's a great thing.

you ever listen to Waka or A$AP Rocky/Ferg? Their adlibs are front and center.

Adlib tracks still exist. But yea people aren't doubling adlibs anymore

some make it work very well.

I love Jim Jones' multi tracks/adlibs for instance.

His doubles and adlibs were so off I was convinced that the Engineer used to move the entire track a click or two to the right on purpose just for affect.
