where did this guy come from? i checked out the stream of his album only cause that dawaun parker dude who did the beats used to be one of dre's main producers...and DAMN this shit is excellent!!! dude sounds like a mixture of mayer hawthorne/usher/flaunteroy to me

but I never get more than 1 reply. I've been waiting like 2 years since I first heard "the river,"--which for some reason isn't on Ether--for a release. the only downside for me regarding Ether is that I've heard all my favorite songs from the album for the last 6 months to a year.
but yeah, phil still hasn't performed enough live shows to count them on two hands. he's excellent live too. good piano/trumpet player. if you haven't heard "the river," youtube it, the same goes for his cover of the beach boys "IJWMFTT."
