"Pitchfork Readers Poll Results (link)"
Tue Dec-31-13 02:09 PM by Nick Has a Problem..

The Pitchfork Readers Poll features your picks for the best (and worst) in the world of music. As always, there are some similarities with our own year-end lists (both share six albums within their Top 10) and some key differences (Readers Poll faves that didn't make our Top Albums list include Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, David Bowie, Lorde, and Volcano Choir). And the Readers Poll lists show above all that Kanye West is something almost everyone agreed on in 2013. Yeezus as underrated album?

Below, you'll find all of the 2013 Readers Poll results, including your choices for Top Albums and Top Tracks, along with Most Underrated and Overrated Albums, Best Videos, Best Album Covers, Best New Artists, Most Disappointing Albums, Best Musician Twitters, and Best Live Acts.

Which can create an aura of underratedness. Not even close to my albums of the year list, but I'm annoyed by people that think everyone's just pretending to like it. Some people like noisy abrasive stuff--fans of Death Grips, clipping, Cities Aviv, BLACKIE, Jeremiah Jae, Zeroh and Dalek don't get the same skepticism about not "really" liking the music, even though it's probably just as unlistenable to mainstream audiences.

Not just by omitting it from their list, but they also gave it a fairly low score. Although interesting enough, the MIA album made the PF list even though it got a bad review from them.

Pitchfork's mini-redesign this year to go even more graphic intensive really buried a lot of their articles for me. I know they're on that small ticker at the top of the page but I'm usually hitting P4K for a quick glance at the front page (which cuts off halfway down P4K.TV/BNM) and miss that, and definitely whatever is below that cutoff.

especially if earl sweatshirt made your top 20 album list and mac isn't on it. he's a young kid, 21 years old, and he earned my respect with his album. the production was dope on 90% of his record, and he is a writer. he messes with the words very well. mac is the white earl sweatshirt. i think those 2 should record a whole collaboration album together.
