i think future would bring out the best in 3k and add some depth to his always extremely catchy palette
he's certified dungeon fam

el-p been giving killer mike gems

El-P would be good to work on a Big Boi solo, but I think an Outkast project needs funk & soul in it and I don't know that El-P can bring that.

but Future grew up in those studios, he's Rico Wade's family and has been in the Dungeon for a looooooong time. Those dudes gave him that stage name. There's a reason Big Rube keeps popping up on his stuff. I'd love to hear a Future/Dungeon Fam collab but I doubt it ever happens, maybe Big Boi on a guest verse.

Gotta say I like Future's more even though Lloyd is, technically, a better singer.
I actually find Future's knack for melody, arrangement and delivery pretty uncanny.

Because if you don't think that an Outkast album produced by the same team that brought us 4 classic albums is a good idea, I'd love to hear what you think they should do.

To me he now is kinda of an MC
He morphs and bends his flow and style to fit a track.
He definitely dumbed himself down lyrically
But he does have talent.

nothing against El P. i just don't see it. his music is not sweet enough.
i like outkast over melodic beats. El tends to prefer atmospheric drum driven beats.

Both are good looks that could bend that Kast sound in contemporary directions.

Neither means Organized Noise shouldn't be on there as well.

In response to Reply # 24

Every one of their albums except maybe Southernplayalistic sounded like it was from 5-10 years in the future.

Organized Noize and then Outkast themselves (along with Mr. DJ as Earthtone III) proved they are fully capable of producing the entirety of Outkast's projects and making landmark, classic albums doing so. So why would anybody want to change that?

Yeah it would be cool to hear an Outkast track produced by El-P... but would it really fit on an album thematically when every Outkast project has had a cohesive overarching sound/vibe? His production tends to be sparse, boom-bap oriented and cold. Whereas Outkast's music tends to be rich, warm and soulful with clear a clear southern sound. Yeah the drums on ATLiens could be called boom-bap on a lot of tracks but the rest of the music wasn't. (Although El-P's production would have fit best on that album if he WAS going to work with Outkast).

Frankly this is all for naught most likely, I doubt Outkast will ever record another album........

(reverse jinx in full effect)

when we're evaluating who brings more heat in 2013.

I'd rather hear Kast over Harry Fraud, if you want Kast & El-P you've got Bannana Clipper all the way back to the Gasoline Dreams for reference.

If they're gonna use outside work, go with the hotter hand who we haven't seen/heard get that kind of look before.

RAP Music, Run The Jewels, or Cancer 4 Cure in the past two years?

I'll wait... no where!

Fraud got FIRE songs with French, Spitta, Bronsolinho and Raff, but overall top to bottom long players, nah B, ya playin ya self

is actually making a new album) that the conceptualization of said album would be done by Outkast.

If they're picking/choosing beat selections, Fraud's got many heaters that I'd rather hear them on rather than a sound they've already touched on without El-P fifteen years ago & has currently been done repeatedly with a Kast affiliate.

Nah, I already got a pretty clear idea of what that would sound like & would rather just here them self-produce/ONP or go somewhere fresher for a new track or two like Fraud.

Sounwave from TDE camp?
Flying Lotus?
Chuck Inglish?
Get Frankie O on some hooks?
Madlib?

Some names that would get me stoked.

But I think Andre should produce the whole thing really, get some legendary session musicians, bring in a solid Exec Producer and smash it out.

They weren't even fucking with organized noize heavy after ATLiens. Most of their post-atliens songs were Earthtone (Andre, Big Boi, and Mr.DJ).

They need someone to give them direction cause Idlewild was a fucking mess. Beats ain't a problem, Outkast is.
