Anyway...
While Untrue is a classic, I am LOVING the way he's releasing music nowadays. As opposed to waiting for a full nicely edited album, we get 30 minutes of atmospheric mixes that seem more like movie sound tracks then 'songs'. You would figure I would be annoyed and fast forward through the raindrop sounds and shit to get to the meat of a track, but it's so superbly done I enjoy everything even the moments of silence.
I found myself making one hour trips 2-3 times a day earlier this year, and the first two EP's were just perfect to me

Agreed. I dig the way he releases music. Doesn't look like he plans on releasing another full length any time soon and I'm good with that. Just keep blessing us with these good EP's every year.

The music including this one just doesn't do it for me. I get why folk dig it, but it just seems to lack a certain something to keep me excited. But I wish more folk would approach music like him.

to Us is really incredible
I like this EP, whether it's better than Kindred as is being claimed I don't know, but it definitely makes me want to go back to listen to Kindred, because this project highlights the respect for his entire body of work you kind of need to have to fully appreciate his music
that's a positive and a negative but I'll just say Come Down to Us simultaneously woke me out of my sleep, dug itself into my ear with it's prettiness, and spooked me the fuck out
it's weird how I feel like modern horror movies have almost IMITATED the sound of Burial's works. glitchy, catchy vocal snippets that are childish / spooky... Balam Acab is clearly a direct descendent although he does the underwater thing as his signature
