i always thought it was because he used overly full sounding samples. it's more difficult to get your drums to pop in the midst of a dense arrangement

yet the poor snares sound like a fart trying to exit that ass. Not sure if that makes any

What's so bad about the snares in stronger and encore? Enconre doesn't even sound like it has snares to me.

This reminds me how y'all okp producers pointed out how poorly mixed the snare is in tribes once again and now that it was pointed out to me y'all ruined the song for me.

It's personal preference really. Stronger's snare is just extra weak and not punchy, it works for the song though IMO. Encore's snare is just wack. Everything about it from the sound to the pattern. Shit's terrible.

I never heard any ill comments about ANY of the drums on BR&L. I just listened to Once Again -- again, and it still sounds dope to me.

that's a personal preference sort of thing IMO. I personally don't mind when snares are mixed loud if the track calls for it.

Or making his track arrangements more sparse.
I thought his drums on MDTF were a lot better by the way.

he strikes me as the type of person that will say anything in attempt to get his point across.

the type that knows he's dead wrong in a conversation and will keep arguing just for the fuck of it.

I said it on here a long ass time ago, Ye is the guy at the park that takes his basketball and goes home because he's mad that he didn't get a foul call 15 plays ago.

you can hear the influence on his first two albums especially
