Joe Walsh is definitely the most interesting/likeable guy. And goddamn those other 3 guys are assholes. Especially Don Henley. The band dynamics and drama are so typical and hilarious.

he did have valid points about when they originally did the publishing, i thought it was a dick move by Frye because Felder composed the music to their biggest hit.

It was a dick move by Frye....I kinda kept going back and forth with my allegiance til I realized it was basically 3 egomaniac assholes with one cool dude who'd be hella cool to have a beer with. Felder clearly attempted to put his ego ahead of the good of the band over and over again....the other two didn't do that as much....they were assholes in other ways though. I did some research after and found out that Walsh getting sober didn't really have anything to do with the eagles. Didn't stop Frey from taking credit though. Hohoho
I checked out some of Joe Walsh' stuff afterwards and was strangely touched by 'One day at a time'. A part of me thinks the song is awful but i think it's also kinda sweet and inspiring. Bootsy's in the vid too:

i only knew hotel california in passing, but i was amazed at alot of tunes i recognized as a kid from my days of AM gold radio, tim schmidt is a welcomed addition to the band

At least in the documentary. I've heard other stories about Henley being a supreme pretentious asshole at other times.
But Frey just seemed like a petty jerk. Especially with the whole "I want to get the band back to tour together, but only if me and Henley get a bigger cut than anyone else." That was supreme douchiness.
