A few that even some 20 somethings known and enjoy, like a Just got paid, Remember the time. But Poison works for kids who were born 6-8 years after it came out...along with people 50+

I never considered BBD or Poison as New Jack Swing.

I always thought of it as..

Mentally Hip-Hop, smoothed out on the R&B tip, with a pop feel appeal to it.

Melodic smoothness of many NJS songs, and is a bit rougher, but it's still NJS times ten. The swing of the drums alone is truly NJS.

I got an of tape of the SOON TO BE Bell Biv Devoe performing at Black Gold Awards in 86 or 87. 'twas a sad sorry performance. U can tell everybody was like "where's Ralph?"
