blue note really was killing shit

in terms of jazz..in particular..bill evans (I know he wasn't on blue note) released allot of dope albums in the early 60s

is one of the greatest runs of all time

just go from Portraits in Jazz....all the way to Moon Beams (and include explorations, new jazz conceptions and everybody diggs bill evans....if you want to cheat b/c those came out in like 59' I think)

7 albums and every single album that he released between those is just beautiful

jazz = early '60s

folk = early '60s, though that's gonna involve a lot of corn. I love corn, though.

Motown = early '60s

Stax, James Brown = late '60s

NOLA soul = a strong argument could be made for either

doo wop = early '60s

rock & folk-rock = late '60s

garage rock = mid '60s (63-66?)

I voted late '60s though b/c deep down I'm still the classic rock fan i was growing up
