"So Pharrell is working on a new solo album..."

JT pretty much confirmed it

http://www.okayplayer.com/news/justin-timberlake-confirms-he-is-on-pharrell-new-solo-album.html

what are your expectations? are we going to get another "in my mind" or his growth/recent new found popularity will help him deliver a solid project?

i only hope 1 thing...no miley cyrus type of features please..

I can't remember which hip-hop podcast I was listening to but I remember someone (?) was talking about what Busta said to them recently.

He said there were two albums that made him cry: Midnight Marauders and an unreleased Pharrell album with him singing.

I wonder if this is the same album.

I imagine with the success of 'Get Lucky' and 'Blurred Lines', he'll be mainly singing on the album. Hope so anyway. Co-sign the anti-Miley features, etc.

As far as features go, I wouldn't mind hearing Kanye, Nas, Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt, Pusha T & Ab-Liva on the album. Not as loaded as In My Mind. Singing is cool by me, still want to hear him rap a little bit, though.

Esteemed author of the celebrated, double-platinum post: "Drake - Wu-Tang Forever".

As much as I loved "In My Mind", even I have to admit that it was
pretty masturbatory... I just happen to like Pharrell's music enough to
listen to that sort of thing from him.

If he delivers some stuff similar to what he cooked up for the Despicable Me 2 sndtrk,
this should be pretty good. It sounded like he was learning how to
write for himself without sounding like some kind of spoof of himself,
if that makes sense. This just seems more like HIS time, to me.
When IMM came out, he was still pretty "hot" in the production world,
giving away all his best shit, so the album kinda sounded like a side
project, imo. I think it'll be different this time around and look forward to it.

he can't rap as well as he can harmonize (didn't say sing lol)
